Be smart online:
- Think twice about what personal materials reveal about you before sharing them on the internet. They could have serious repercussions for your personal and professional life.
- Where possible, use a nickname rather than your real name, to protect your identity (e.g. when writing a blog). For more information on online privacy see these safer internet tips.
- Use privacy settings to set higher level of protection online.
- Only upload content that you have created yourself and ask anyone appearing in pictures and films for permission before uploading.
- Bear in mind: once you've uploaded something to the internet, it is no longer private and you cannot control where and how it is used.
