A US-based website, Education World provides a search engine for educational web sites only, alongside various original resources for educators..

KidsClick
KidsClick provides a web search service for children by librarians, offering both keyword and directory-based searching.

Yahoo! Kids
Yahoo! Kids is a browsable, searchable directory of internet sites for kids, alongside various other ‘fun features’. Each site has been checked by an experienced educator to ensure the content and links are appropriate for children aged 7-12.
