If you are plagued with spam then you can sign up to www.spamcop.net.
Each spam message that you receive can then be reported easily to the appropriate authorities.
If you use spam cop then you will probably see a reduction in spam after a wee or so.
A few points..
  • If you use hotmail then use the spam reporting facility in hotmail.
  • If you are using Outlook express and have problems using spam cop then see Mr Lockwood for advice.
  • Be careful about reporting spam and try not to report messages as spam when they are news letters etc that you have actually signed up for. In these cases you should unsubscribe.
  • If lots of people use spamcop then it has a real effect on the amount of spam being sent. Think of it as part of your citizenship education. You are making a contribution to the public good.
